Carnival: The Backstreets

 

Carnival: The Backstreets  is an online exhibition about New Orleans Black community's parading traditions on Carnival day. Carnival is celebrated on Fat Tuesday. The backstreets of New Orleans is home to Zulu, New Orleans Black Indians, the Black Masking Indians, Second Lines, Brass Bands, The Baby Dolls, the Skull and Bones Gang and more. Tune in on Mardi Gras day also known as Fat Tuesday. Carnival is going viral.
